Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Diagnostic / Master Technician to join a modern dealership workshop in Birmingham. You will work with the latest diagnostic tools on a range of vehicles, including hybrid and electric models, delivering high‑quality repairs and service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on complex mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems.
• Repair, service and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Complete warranty and diagnostic repairs accurately.
• Use state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic equipment to identify intermittent and complex faults.
• Work on hybrid and electric vehicles where qualified.
• Support and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician in a franchised or professional workshop.
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and willingness to mentor colleagues.
