Direct Procurement Manager – 13‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

PZ Cussons is seeking a Direct Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier partnership for packaging and third‑party manufacturing. This 13‑month fixed‑term role supports maternity cover and sits at the core of bringing new FMCG products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Own procurement strategy for selected brands and packaging categories, delivering value, innovation and continuity.
• Build and develop supplier partnerships that unlock ideas, strengthen resilience and support long‑term growth.
• Play a central role in new product development, ensuring partners are sourced and launches are on time and on budget.
• Drive cost optimisation and margin improvement through smart sourcing, negotiation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with NPD, Supply Chain, R&D and Quality teams to accelerate product launches.
• Monitor supplier performance and market trends, managing risk and identifying new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven procurement or sourcing experience in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong commercial instinct with confidence in negotiation and supplier management.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with comfort working with data.
