DT Technician – Secondary School

About the role
We are recruiting a Design & Technology (DT) Technician to support a busy secondary school department in East Dulwich. The role starts on 1 September and runs until the October half‑term, offering a practical, hands‑on environment for an organised individual.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare materials, tools and equipment for DT lessons.
- Maintain workshop areas to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Carry out routine maintenance and organise resources.
- Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations.
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar practical support role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Proactive and flexible approach.
- Experience in a school setting is desirable.
Required skills
- Knowledge of workshop tools and machinery.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
