Electrical Design Engineer (ICP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Network Design Engineer to join a growing multi‑utility business. The role involves designing low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) electrical distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments, with hybrid working across several possible locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design HV and LV electrical distribution networks in line with DNO, IDNO and industry standards.
• Produce electrical calculations, network designs, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with utility providers, customers and internal project teams to obtain technical approvals.
• Support project delivery from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Mentor and support junior members of the design team.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing LV and HV electrical distribution networks.
• Background within an ICP, IDNO, DNO, utility contractor or consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of network design principles, approval processes and relevant standards.
