Electrical Engineer – Vehicle Communication Systems

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who enjoys turning concepts into robust, production‑ready products. You will work on the integration of handheld radio systems into specialist off‑highway vehicles, covering the full product lifecycle from design to release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical circuitry for vehicle‑mounted communication systems.
• Integrate handheld radio equipment into specialist vehicles.
• Develop prototype systems and support their transition to full production.
• Produce electrical drawings, technical documentation and manufacturing instructions.
• Test, fault‑find and validate new designs.
• Occasionally configure, test and diagnose handheld radio equipment.

Required profile

• Experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer or Product Development Engineer.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring and integration.
• Proven track record taking products from prototype through to production.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with excellent fault‑finding skills.
• Experience with handheld radios or two‑way communication equipment is a plus but not essential.
