EL/PL Litigation Supervisor – Technical Support Lawyer

About the role

The Keoghs Casualty business unit is seeking a Qualified Solicitor or equivalent as a Technical Support Lawyer (TSL). The TSL will lead a group of Fast Track file handlers or assistants dealing with EL/PL litigated claims, driving technical excellence in a commercial manner across all files. This role also includes managing a personal caseload of predominantly Multi‑Track files.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Fast Track file handlers/assistants, mentoring them to deliver technical excellence.
• Drive financial authority audits and ensure commercial handling of files.
• Devise and implement strategies for sub‑team files, supporting handlers to work economically while achieving best outcomes.
• Support colleagues in client‑facing roles (CAM/DCAM/PPC) with technical advice and participate in client audits.
• Manage a personal mixed caseload of EL/PL Multi‑Track claims (£25k‑£100k) and achieve chargeable hours and WIP targets.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX member.
• Experience handling EL/PL litigation files up to £100k, including Multi‑Track cases.
• Previous supervision experience of handlers or assistants.
• Financial authority of at least £25k and strong advocacy skills.
• Excellent IT skills and high analytical ability.
