Employment Solicitor – Associate (Hybrid)

About the role

Reed is seeking an Associate to join its Employment Team, working on a hybrid basis across South Wales and Bristol. This position offers the chance to develop a specialist employment law practice while supporting both employees and employers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload covering all aspects of employment law, primarily litigation.
• Provide legal advice on unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and related matters.
• Draft and review employee handbooks, employment contracts and other advisory documents.
• Represent clients in advocacy matters where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver HR advisory services and guide businesses through complex legal requirements.
• Negotiate settlements and develop expertise in claim defence strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employment litigation.
• Strong knowledge of employment law procedures and case management.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and deliver high‑quality client care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
