Enforcement and Illicit Finance Senior Manager

About the role

The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) is seeking a senior professional to lead its Enforcement and Illicit Finance function. You will shape enforcement strategy, oversee high‑profile investigations, and develop the anti‑illicit finance agenda across English football.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the IFR enforcement strategy, portfolio, policies and procedures.
• Lead and supervise regulatory, civil or criminal investigations into breaches of the Football Governance Act and IFR rules.
• Coordinate the regulator’s efforts to mitigate illicit finance risks within the professional game.
• Collaborate with data, policy, legal and supervision teams to ensure a coherent enforcement portfolio.
• Provide expert advice to the IFR board to support robust regulatory decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing regulatory, civil or criminal enforcement investigations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute anti‑illicit finance strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with internal and external partners.
• Experience working in a regulatory or compliance environment, preferably within sport or finance.
