Engineer Surveyor – Pressure Systems (Nottingham/Derby)

About the role

Zurich Engineering is expanding its field‑based Engineer Surveyor team in the Nottingham/Derby area. The role focuses on pressure systems, providing statutory inspections and expert advice to a diverse client base while offering flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Complete industry‑leading training and then carry out hands‑on statutory inspections of pressure, compressed air and steam equipment.
• Provide expert engineering opinions to help clients meet legislative requirements and high‑quality standards.
• Record inspection results on a rugged laptop and issue electronic reports to clients, requiring strong IT and literacy skills.
• Communicate findings clearly and make sound engineering judgments on site.

Required profile

• Experienced engineer with a solid knowledge of pressure systems and related equipment.
• A Level 4 engineering qualification (HND/HNC) and completion of a time‑served or modern apprenticeship.
• Hands‑on experience inspecting pressure, compressed air and steam plant.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to work paid overtime.
• Based at home with a client base within reasonable travelling distance, reporting to a Team Manager.
