Engineering Lecturer – Various Disciplines (Temp/Perm)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Engineering Lecturers to deliver both theoretical and practical engineering education across a range of disciplines in Further Education colleges in Greater Manchester. The role can be sessional, temporary or permanent, offering flexible working arrangements for qualified professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging engineering lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body standards.
• Teach theoretical concepts and hands‑on skills in workshops and classrooms.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare students for employment, apprenticeships or further study.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related field.
• Relevant industry experience within engineering.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
