Enterprise Architect - Greenfield Banking Platform

About the role

The bank is seeking an Enterprise Architect to own the technology strategy and target architecture for a greenfield banking platform. This is a hands‑on role that works directly with engineering and transformation teams to turn strategic vision into concrete outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap and standards across business and technology domains.
• Lead architecture across major transformation programmes covering core banking, payments, FX, customer platforms, data and cloud.
• Create pragmatic transition architectures that accelerate modernisation while managing operational risk.
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure architectural vision is executed and governance is maintained.
• Design cloud‑native, scalable, resilient solutions on AWS and champion event‑driven, micro‑services and distributed architectures.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices such as platform engineering, DevSecOps, API‑first design and automation.
• Shape the bank’s AI‑enabled architecture strategy, evaluating emerging technologies for regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience delivering enterprise‑level architecture in a regulated banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to work closely with engineering, transformation and delivery teams and to challenge established thinking.
• Deep understanding of cloud, data, payments and core banking domains.
• Experience navigating governance and regulatory requirements while driving innovation.
