Enterprise Architect – Higher Education (Hybrid, £715/day)

About the role

This six‑month contract role supports three value streams within a higher‑education environment, providing strategic enterprise architecture leadership. The position is hybrid, requiring one day per week onsite in Manchester, and operates inside IR35 at a day rate of £715.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and manage demand across professional services, teaching & learning, and research value streams.
• Define, design and align architecture portfolios to ensure enterprise coherence.
• Provide governance advice and oversee architecture knowledge management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic goals into actionable architectural plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within a complex organisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
• Excellent communication ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset with balanced risk‑taking.
