Environment Health & Safety Placement – Filton (12.5 months)

About the role

This 12.5‑month placement starts on 16 August 2027 at Airbus' Filton site in Bristol. It is aimed at undergraduate students who want to gain hands‑on experience within the Environment Health & Safety (EHS) team, working across both the Filton and Broughton locations and collaborating with UK and global EHS colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and gain experience in daily aspects of all EHS functions and their customer base.
• Work with EHS‑supported teams to drive improvements and synergies.
• Engage in multi‑functional teams such as sustainability that EHS supports or leads.
• Identify and develop improvements to EHS communication channels.
• Support the development, implementation and optimal use of electronic reporting and monitoring tools.
• Assist in research, delivery and evaluation of internal communication campaigns.

Required profile

• Studying towards a degree in Environment, Geography or a related field.
• Basic IT proficiency, especially with presentation and graphics tools.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating verbally with stakeholders at all levels.
