About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated ESOL Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages for children and young people who speak English as an Additional Language. You will plan and deliver tailored lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while building learners' confidence in communicating effectively in English.
Key responsibilities
- Create, plan and deliver tailored 1:1 ESOL lessons developing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
- Support learners in accessing the curriculum and progressing towards their educational goals.
- Monitor learner progression and collaborate with Prospero Teaching to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months experience teaching, tutoring or supporting EAL learners.
- Qualifications such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, ESOL or equivalent.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (desirable).
Required skills
- Knowledge of language acquisition and literacy development.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons tailored to individual needs.
