Estimator – Passive Fire Protection

About the role

The Estimator – Passive Fire Protection will promote a high‑quality range of fire doors and passive fire protection products across commercial, local authority, social housing and education sectors. Based in Kent with hybrid working, you will travel weekly to sites throughout the South East and Midlands, liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams to deliver accurate cost proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand project requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and estimate labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and proposals aligned with client needs.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids and pricing information for projects up to £200k.

Required profile

• Proven estimating experience within fire stopping, fire doors, fire protection or security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
• Strong organisational ability and a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
• Willingness to work hard and get involved on site as needed.

Required skills

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
