Executive Recruiter – VP Level (Financial Services)

About the role

This newly created, high‑impact position supports a leading financial services client in shaping its executive hiring strategy across the EMEA region. Working hybrid from London, you will own senior‑level searches for Managing Director and Executive Director roles, reducing reliance on external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end executive hiring for MD and senior ED mandates, primarily in commercial and investment banking.
• Partner with heads of resourcing and senior business leaders to design hiring strategies and provide market intelligence.
• Conduct market mapping, build pipelines, and engage passive candidates through direct sourcing and relationship‑led approaches.
• Deliver confidential searches, team‑build projects and opportunistic hires while ensuring a discreet candidate experience.
• Provide data‑driven insights on competitor talent, compensation benchmarking and executive compensation negotiations.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organisation’s executive hiring framework.

Required profile

• Proven executive recruitment experience across EMEA, either in‑house within financial services or at an established executive search firm.
• Successful track record of MD/ED placements in banking, with a strong network in front‑office and support functions.
• Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders at Managing Director level.
• Experience managing multiple confidential searches simultaneously.
• Commercially astute with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
