Expansion Lead – UK Fast Charging Network

About the role

Fastned is looking for an Expansion Lead to drive the growth of its fast‑charging network across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Based in London, you will lead a team of Expansion Managers and work closely with the Network Development leadership group to secure new sites and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, develop and inspire a team of three Expansion Managers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Design and execute the UK expansion strategy, from site scouting to signed land leases or freeholds.
• Negotiate and close real‑estate transactions with commercial land owners and local authorities.
• Set ambitious expansion targets and deliver on a robust rollout plan for new fast‑charging locations.
• Streamline processes to maximise efficiency across the expansion pipeline.
• Own the financial and techno‑economic business case for each project and monitor policy developments that impact expansion plans.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing a small team in a fast‑growth environment.
• Strong track record in real‑estate acquisition, negotiation and partnership development.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to build and defend business cases.
• Deep understanding of the electric‑mobility market and relevant policy frameworks.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across Europe.
