Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Setting

About the role
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join specialist settings across Tower Hamlets and Newham. This permanent position supports pupils with complex needs such as ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties within structured environments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students, working towards EHCP targets.
- Deliver personal care, including toileting, feeding assistance, and mobility support.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies and support emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to implement interventions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a specialist SEN setting or ARP.
- Strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs and behaviour challenges.
- Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Ability to work confidently within a multidisciplinary team.
