About the role

The school is an outstanding, Ofsted‑rated special school in Harrow that supports children aged three to eleven with autism and related communication and learning needs. As an EYFS Teacher you will join a forward‑thinking team dedicated to delivering high‑quality early years education in a supportive, challenging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess EYFS curriculum tailored to the needs of autistic learners.
• Collaborate with families, therapists and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interaction.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to individual education plans.
• Participate in staff training, professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent early years qualification.
• Experience working with children who have autism or similar communication and learning needs.
• Passionate about inclusive education and committed to continuous professional growth.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and special educational needs (SEN) legislation.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning profiles.
• Proficiency in using assessment tools and maintaining detailed records.
