Field Installation Engineer - North

About the role

Lightfoot is creating a new position in the software and fleet technology sector to connect customers with innovative vehicle devices. As a Field Installation Engineer you will install, service and remove Lightfoot devices in customer vehicles while delivering a safe and confident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Complete installations, removals and service calls to Lightfoot’s standards.
• Represent the Lightfoot brand professionally at customer sites across the North.
• Follow health and safety policies, use PPE and complete risk assessments.
• Record work completed in Salesforce/Portal applications.
• Provide first‑line technical feedback to the operations team in Exeter.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools and stock of kits, consumables and PPE.

Required profile

• Previous experience in auto‑electrical, telematics or fleet technology fitting preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding abilities.
• Customer‑facing experience with professional communication.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS clearance.

Required skills

• Salesforce (or similar portal) for work recording.
