Field Sales Development Manager

About the role

The Field Sales Development Manager will drive sales growth across Cash & Carry and wholesale accounts within the South East England territory. You will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and national account teams to maximise display opportunities and achieve agreed targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise display opportunities and achieve sales targets in line with company strategy.
• Develop and implement a territory strategy, negotiating product range, price, volume and display space.
• Forecast and manage a sales promotional fund to grow profitable sales.
• Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the designated area.
• Coordinate activities with the RSM, conduct a minimum of five C&C/Wholesale/Retail calls per day, and arrange demonstration days as required.
• Report competitor activity daily, including samples, pictures and pricing.
• Liaise regularly with the Customer Services Department to administer agreements and development plans.

Required profile

• 2 A‑Levels.
• Full‑time availability (37 hours per week) and a clean, current driving licence.
• Well‑organised, articulate, with high personal standards.
• Strong presentation, relationship‑building, negotiation and numeracy skills.
• Good computer literacy and the ability to absorb new information quickly.
• Effective problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of FMCG is beneficial but not essential.
