Field Service Engineer – Business‑Critical Tech Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology provider. You will install, maintain and repair business‑critical printers, multifunction devices and related equipment across a defined territory, delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of printers, multifunction devices, photocopiers and scanners.
• Install, configure and commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out maintenance visits to maximise performance and reliability.
• Provide basic training and guidance on equipment use when required.
• Manage service calls in line with agreed SLA targets and response times.
• Maintain accurate service records and job reports.
• Liaise with internal service and technical support teams to resolve issues.
• Manage parts inventory and ensure faulty parts are returned.
• Identify potential issues and communicate them to customers and colleagues.
• Represent the business professionally and build strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Previous field service engineering experience, especially with printers, multifunction devices and scanners.
• Experience working in a service‑led environment meeting SLA targets.
• Good understanding of networking, connectivity and software troubleshooting.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
