Field Service Engineer – CNC Woodcutting

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer you will travel across the UK installing, servicing and maintaining CNC woodcutting and woodworking machinery. You will work directly with customers to ensure their equipment runs efficiently and provide expert technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission CNC woodworking machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and control system faults.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
• Identify and troubleshoot PLC and automation issues.
• Deliver operator training and technical guidance.
• Complete service reports and relevant documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and machine optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience working on CNC machinery, preferably woodworking or cutting equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
