Field Service Engineer - Electrical bias

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to travel across the UK, primarily the Midlands, Manchester and Liverpool, to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment on client sites. You will work independently, providing fault‑finding expertise on automated machinery and ensuring high‑quality service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Work on automated machinery, including electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Represent the business on site and build strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Strong fault‑finding experience across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Confident working on breakdowns and solving problems independently.
• Exposure to PLC fault finding is highly desirable.
• Experience with automated machinery such as CNC, robotics or similar equipment.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and working methodically.
