Field Support Technician

About the role

Foodhub is looking for a Field Support Technician to deliver on‑site technical assistance to its restaurant and takeaway partners across the United Kingdom. You will be the first point of contact for hardware and software issues, ensuring that customers can keep trading with minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical escalations from the Contact Centre and internal teams.
• Travel to client sites to diagnose, repair and replace EPOS hardware, printers, payment devices, tablets and other peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain equipment, performing proactive health checks for VIP customers.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, networking and connectivity problems, collaborating with remote technical teams when needed.
• Provide on‑site training to maximise customer use of Foodhub’s solutions.
• Record service activities, report recurring issues and suggest improvements.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours rota to support VIP customers when required.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
• Good organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
