Finance Assistant – Managed Services

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑focused Finance Assistant to join our Managed Services business in Central London. The role is hands‑on and high‑visibility, supporting the finance team with core transactional and reporting activities while helping to improve automation and efficiency as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements and support weekly/monthly payment runs.
• Raise customer invoices, manage recurring billing, allocate receipts and support Direct Debit collections.
• Assist with debt collection, aged debtor management and perform bank reconciliations.
• Handle expense, corporate card and petty cash processing and contribute to weekly cash reporting.
• Support month‑end close activities including journals, accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts, internal reports and maintain finance records in the ERP system.
• Contribute to VAT return preparation, payroll support and other HMRC filings.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives and assist with onboarding of acquired businesses.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to support continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with an ERP or accounting system.
