Finance Manager – ERP Implementation Lead

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Finance Manager to join a fast‑growing manufacturing business in Birmingham. This senior position will combine hands‑on financial leadership with a pivotal role in the implementation of a new ERP system that underpins the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver timely financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning activities.
• Provide commercial insight and analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Act as the finance lead for the ERP implementation, overseeing data migration, testing, user acceptance and go‑live.
• Review and improve existing financial processes and internal controls.
• Partner with operational and manufacturing teams to drive performance improvements.
• Develop, mentor and manage the finance team.
• Support year‑end audit and statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant.
• Demonstrated involvement in ERP implementation or finance transformation projects.
• Manufacturing sector experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of management accounting, financial controls and business partnering.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach to continuous improvement.
