Finance Manager

About the role

The Leverhulme Trust is seeking a Finance Manager to join its small, high‑performing team in the City of London. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will support both operational excellence and strategic decision‑making across a substantial investment portfolio and charitable activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investment accounting and reporting for the Trust’s investment portfolio.
• Prepare statutory accounts and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, treasury activities and overall cash management.
• Develop and enhance financial and management reporting using Microsoft Business Central and other systems.
• Drive continuous improvements to finance processes, controls and governance arrangements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in both strategic and operational finance within a complex, investment‑focused environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
