Financial Controller – Group Reporting & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing, people‑focused organisation in South Manchester. You will own the group’s financial reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with senior leadership and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual consolidated financial statements for the group.
• Manage statutory accounts for all group entities.
• Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Handle corporation tax, VAT, and other compliance reporting.
• Prepare and review group reporting requirements.
• Monitor and manage financial compliance risks.
• Lead the year‑end reporting process and support wider finance projects.
• Manage, mentor and develop a small finance team.
• Improve financial controls, processes and reporting.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or similar reporting role.
• Background in a medium‑sized, service‑led, people‑focused organisation.
• Experience working within an international or multi‑entity group structure.
• Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
