Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function in London, overseeing reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance across multiple entities. The role will manage a small finance team and work closely with senior leadership to provide commercial insight and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, audits and VAT compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls and an efficient month‑end close.
• Oversee payment processes, credit control and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support project accounting, job costing and production finance.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a finance leadership role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, analytical and committed to continuous improvement.

What we offer
