Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

The Financial Reporting Manager will join a leading facilities management and maintenance services provider in Birmingham. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure statutory, regulatory and shareholder reporting obligations are met while driving improvements in processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of statutory accounts, shareholder reports and external audits.
• Produce rolling cash‑flow forecasts and manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, VAT and CIS reporting.
• Oversee fixed‑assets and lease accounting in line with IFRS.
• Manage relationships with banking partners and the central Treasury function.
• Lead the Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) team, developing staff and enhancing service delivery.
• Provide expert financial guidance and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 3‑4 years post‑qualification experience in financial reporting or control.
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts, audit, treasury and financial governance.
• Proven experience in large‑scale organisations, preferably within facilities management or construction.
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex financial information.
• Experience managing or developing a finance team and understanding of P2P processes.

• Salary up to £72,000 per annum plus car allowance and bonus (up to 20%).
