Fixed Wire Service Manager

About the role

The Fixed Wire Service Manager will lead a team of engineers delivering electrical fixed‑wire testing and compliance services across the Midlands. You will ensure safety, productivity and service quality while supporting the growth of PHS Group’s compliance business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineer activity, monitor productivity targets and SLA compliance.
• Process PDA timesheets, verify site times and ensure correct PDA usage.
• Oversee customer portal usage and resolve overtime/travel time discrepancies.
• Promote safe driving standards, review vehicle usage and investigate poor practices.
• Handle employee absence, holidays and sickness management.
• Conduct onsite audits (Health & Safety, vehicle, technical) and provide training where needed.
• Lead onboarding, probation reviews and leaver processes.
• Champion diversity and inclusion across the workforce.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical testing and compliance services.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage a field team.
• Logical decision‑making and sound judgment.
• Solid understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues at all levels.
