About the role
Smart Education is seeking a dedicated Tutor to work with students in Birmingham on a flexible, contract basis. You will deliver one‑to‑one tuition in a home setting, supporting learners ranging from Key Stage 1 to further education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personalised tuition in English, Maths and/or Science.
- Develop and implement tailored learning strategies for students outside mainstream education.
- Support young people’s re‑engagement with education and progress towards their goals.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to families or carers.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, or relevant subject specialism.
- Minimum 1 year of UK teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience working with children or young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
