Food Tech Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Food Tech Teacher to join a supportive Multi‑Academy Trust in Manchester. The successful candidate will inspire students in Years 7‑11, delivering high‑quality lessons and fostering a love of food technology.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Food Tech lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and behaviour standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a well‑led department.
• Encourage students to develop practical skills and creativity in food technology.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching Food Tech at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong behaviour management and communication abilities.
• Resilient, dedicated and adaptable approach to teaching.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain a new check).
• References covering the last two years.
