Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Remote/Midlands

About the role

We are seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to join our AI‑powered BPMN startup from day one. Working closely with the Founder and senior technical leaders, you will shape the financial strategy that underpins our growth and investment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and growth plans.
• Define funding requirements, evaluate financing options and lead fundraising activities.
• Manage capital allocation, runway, burn rate and overall capital efficiency.
• Oversee KPI reporting, governance frameworks and financial governance.
• Handle cap table management, dilution analysis and equity planning.
• Identify and secure grant, innovation and R&D tax credit funding.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader or CFO, preferably in a tech or startup environment.
• Strong track record of raising capital, structuring equity and managing investor relations.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable financial plans.
• Comfortable working on a part‑time, contract basis with high impact.
