Freelance Content Writer – Defence & Security

About the role

We are seeking a freelance content writer to produce in‑depth, research‑led articles for a specialist defence and security publication aimed at senior military and defence professionals. The position is fully remote and offers a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Write 2–3 long‑form articles per month (1,500–2,000 words each) on emerging defence and security themes.
• Follow provided briefs and conduct independent research without the need for interviews.
• Ensure accuracy and authority in all written material.

Required profile

• Background in defence, security, military affairs or current‑affairs journalism.
• Strong ability to write authoritatively on complex topics for a senior professional audience.
• Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of geopolitical and technological trends shaping modern defence.
• Professional discretion when handling sensitive source material.
