Freelance Corporate Event Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a professional Freelance Corporate Event Manager to lead one‑day corporate food and drink events across London. You will act as the on‑site point of contact, ensuring smooth delivery and representing our brand to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Arrive early at the venue, take charge of the site and liaise with the client or venue contact.
• Receive catering equipment, food, drinks and supplies; coordinate unloading, setup and preparation.
• Brief chefs, waiting staff, bar staff and other personnel; manage service schedules for canapés, buffets, street‑food, bowls and drinks.
• Monitor staffing levels, allocate duties and maintain high presentation and service standards.
• Handle any issues calmly, ensure dietary and allergen requirements are met, and uphold food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Keep the client informed, manage breakdown, pack equipment correctly and complete post‑event reports when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate events, hospitality, catering or event management.
• Confident working independently and leading temporary freelance teams.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to follow detailed event schedules.
• Professional, presentable and comfortable dealing with corporate clients.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem‑solving abilities.
