Front Office Regulatory & Controls Business Analyst – E‑Trading

About the role

This is a high‑visibility, fast‑paced position supporting the Front Office Regulatory Controls function of a leading capital markets business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will act as the sole Business Analyst for a desk, driving regulatory and electronic‑trading initiatives from problem definition through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Front Office Sales & Trading, COO, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Business Control Officers and Technology teams.
• Analyse and resolve front‑office regulatory and control issues such as control breaches, trader incidents, electronic‑trading queries and limit management.
• Conduct process reviews and gap analyses to improve control frameworks.
• Work with a Senior Subject Matter Expert to define problems, shape solutions and drive end‑to‑end delivery.
• Produce clear documentation, analysis and reporting to progress issues to resolution.
• Engage senior stakeholders to classify products and activities under e‑trading definitions using structured frameworks.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives, acting as the sole BA aligned to a desk.

Required profile

• Proven Business Analyst experience within Front Office (Sales & Trading) environments.
• Strong exposure to electronic‑trading environments.
• Experience on regulatory/controls initiatives, including control breaches, trader incidents, electronic‑trading controls and limit management.
• Solid understanding of MiFID II, with specific knowledge of RTS 6 (algorithmic/e‑trading).
• Ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes with minimal oversight.
