Full‑time Minibus Driver – Community Transport

About the role

ECT is seeking a full‑time Minibus Driver to provide door‑to‑door community transport for vulnerable passengers across Ealing and surrounding areas. The role involves safely transporting individuals, assisting with mobility, and ensuring a courteous journey.

Key responsibilities

• Collect passengers from their homes or designated pick‑up points and deliver them to destinations such as shopping centres, social clubs, or SEND schools.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, shopping, and mobility aids, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Conduct vehicle safety and defect checks before each shift and record mileage and passenger details.
• Handle cash, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate records of fares and mileage.
• Read updates, attend team meetings and perform any other duties delegated by the operations team.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (category D1/D1+101) with no more than 6 penalty points and no drink‑driving convictions.
• Age 21 years or older with extensive driving experience and ability to plan routes.
• Excellent customer care, empathy for older and disabled passengers, and strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to assist with manual handling, including helping wheelchair users.
• Reliability, punctuality and a presentable appearance.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £14.80 plus statutory holiday pay.
• Full‑time schedule (40 hours/week) within operating hours 7 am‑midnight, Monday‑Sunday.
• Paid holidays equivalent to 5.6 weeks per year, including bank holidays.
