About the role
The Fund Accounting Manager will lead the Fund Accounting team in our London office, overseeing the monthly NAV process, regulatory reporting and people management while working closely with other support functions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the monthly NAV process and maintain a strong control environment for daily P&L, official estimates and final NAVs.
- Chair the Valuation Committee and ensure the valuation policy is current, comprehensive and accurate.
- Produce and report recurring and ad‑hoc management information, including track records, attribution and scenario analysis to senior management, Client Services and Sales.
- Oversee regulatory reporting and the audited financial statements process for fund entities.
- Manage relationships with outsourced service providers, external administrators and auditors.
- Prepare materials for governance bodies such as the Corporate Board, Fund Boards and Executive Committee.
- Manage internal fund‑of‑funds rebalancing and FX hedging processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across the Finance team to support growth, scalability and efficiency.
- Hold informal and formal meetings with team members, conduct quarterly one‑to‑ones and annual appraisals.
- Recruit, induct and develop new colleagues, set clear standards and manage performance.
Required profile
- Experience working within a hedge fund environment.
- Detailed knowledge of fund accounting, including equalisation credits, contingent redemptions and series accounting.
- Ability to discuss hypothetical scenarios and generate ideas related to fund accounting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Appropriate IT skills.
- Demonstrable experience in effective people management.
- ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of five years post‑qualification experience and a degree‑level education or higher.
