FX Sales Business Developer – Birmingham

About the role

Join a fast‑moving fintech environment as an FX Sales Business Developer in Birmingham. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining deep knowledge of foreign exchange, hedging, payments and trade finance while building a pipeline of new client opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and develop new business opportunities from cold call to close.
• Generate leads using cold outreach, sector‑specific databases and LJRM’s data‑driven lead sourcing tool “Sonar”.
• Attend exhibitions, networking events and other client‑facing activities as directed.
• Research clients and sectors to craft tailored value propositions for FX, hedging, payment and trade finance solutions.
• Present LJRM services, set up meetings with senior colleagues and support the hand‑over to account managers.
• Keep clients informed on currency market movements and help them make risk‑aware decisions.
• Collaborate with the key‑account team to accelerate the conversion from sign‑up to first trade.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, collaborative and comfortable working in a high‑pace, merit‑based environment.
• Strong interest in finance, foreign exchange and fintech.
• Willingness to learn through LJRM Academy programmes covering macroeconomics, FX and international payments.
• Ambitious mindset with a desire to progress to senior sales or account‑management roles.
