General Manager – Premium Bar & Restaurant

About the role

We’re recruiting an experienced and charismatic General Manager to lead a stylish, high‑volume neighbourhood bar and restaurant in the heart of Richmond. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established venue with a strong local following, delivering outstanding hospitality, developing a brilliant team and driving commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop the management and wider venue team.
• Deliver sales, profit, labour and operational targets.
• Maintain consistently high standards across food, drink and service.
• Recruit, retain and develop high‑performing team members.
• Manage stock, wastage, payroll and broader financial controls.
• Ensure full compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety requirements.
• Create a collaborative, professional and enjoyable team culture.

Required profile

• Confident, outgoing and commercially minded hospitality leader.
• Previous experience as a General Manager within a quality bar, restaurant or premium pub environment.
• Strong record of leading and developing successful teams.
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour and profitability.
• High standards and a genuine passion for customer experience.
• Confidence to be visible on the floor and build relationships with regular customers.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on leadership style and ability to remain composed during busy services.
