Group Business Development Manager – Aerospace

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across civil and military aero‑engine markets, including industrial gas turbines. The role spans multiple business units and manufacturing sites, requiring a strong ability to build pipelines, secure new contracts, and deepen existing customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities in civil and military aero‑engine sectors.
• Identify and pursue opportunities within the industrial gas turbine market.
• Manage sales pipelines across several manufacturing locations.
• Build and maintain relationships with aero‑engine OEMs and strategic customers.
• Present technical manufacturing solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Support existing customers with new programmes, MRO needs, and product re‑activation.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to ensure strong ROI.
• Collaborate with marketing on sector campaigns and OEM engagement.
• Attend industry events and networking activities to generate leads.
• Monitor aerospace market trends, defence initiatives, budgets, and live programmes.

Required profile

• Extensive sales and business development experience with aero‑engine products.
• Strong understanding of civil aerospace markets.
• Proven ability to acquire new customers and generate sustainable revenue.
• Experience presenting technical manufacturing solutions to OEMs or major industry customers.
• Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent networking, relationship‑building, and communication abilities.
