Head of AI Architecture

About the role

The Head of AI Architecture will lead a high‑profile AI transformation for a globally operating, asset‑heavy organisation. Based in London, the role requires three days a week on‑site and focuses on shaping the company’s digital future through AI strategy, governance and pilot projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current AI, data and technology landscape to establish a clear baseline.
• Define and deliver an enterprise‑wide AI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and prioritise high‑value AI use cases across multiple functions.
• Advise senior stakeholders on AI opportunities, risks, governance and best practices.
• Deliver pilot initiatives and proof‑of‑concepts to demonstrate impact.
• Establish frameworks, policies and an operating model for responsible AI adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI, data or digital transformation initiatives in complex environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work closely with executive leadership.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, automation and data platforms.
• Experience defining AI strategy, governance and implementation roadmaps.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, commercially focused outcomes.
• Background in logistics, transportation or other operationally intensive industries is advantageous.
