Head of Data Science

About the role

This senior position will lead the data science function for a fast‑growing analytics organisation in London. You will shape strategy, build a high‑performing team and deliver measurable business impact through advanced analytics and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the data science strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing data science team.
• Oversee development, validation and deployment of machine‑learning models and advanced analytics solutions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities for data‑driven impact.
• Establish best practices for model governance, validation and reporting.
• Deliver scalable solutions and clearly communicate outcomes and ROI.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data science teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling and advanced analytics techniques.
• Ability to translate complex data insights into clear business recommendations.
• Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating cross‑functionally.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end data science projects in a commercial environment.

What we offer

• £700‑£800 per day rate, Outside IR35.
