Head of Finance

About the role

The newly created Head of Finance role leads a finance team of 12+ across a multi‑entity, multi‑currency operation. Based in London with a hybrid working model (3 days office, 2 days home), the position offers a salary of £90,000‑£120,000 plus a 20% bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver month‑end and year‑end close, balance‑sheet integrity, statutory reporting and audit.
• Take full ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including payment runs, invoice processing and banking controls.
• Manage inventory accounting: valuation, movement tracking and reconciliation.
• Strengthen the internal controls framework alongside an ongoing ERP programme.
• Build the team: recruit, onboard and develop people as European expansion adds entities and volume.
• Work closely with IT, BI and FP&A to embed and optimise the ERP system.

Required profile

• Head of Finance or Financial Controller with experience leading an in‑house team of 10 or more.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with three or more years at Head of Finance or Financial Controller level.
• Background in a product business (retail, consumer goods, FMCG) with inventory exposure.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and a track record of building internal controls at scale.
• International, multi‑currency, multi‑entity experience.
