Head of Transformation Project

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior leader to head a high‑impact global transformation initiative. The successful candidate will own the full lifecycle of a major project, whether it focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence to programme delivery or implementing a new technology solution that strengthens our impact for children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and overall accountability for a complex, global transformation project.
• Develop and maintain robust governance structures, ensuring clear milestones, measurable outcomes and alignment with organisational priorities.
• Engage senior stakeholders, including Board members, to secure support and drive decision‑making.
• Lead a multidisciplinary project team, coaching members and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Coordinate with the broader Transformation Development portfolio to ensure seamless integration and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee change management activities to embed new processes, systems or AI capabilities across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience delivering large‑scale transformation programmes in a global or multi‑regional context.
• Deep understanding of AI applications or technology solution design and implementation.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with experience presenting to executive and Board audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high‑performing teams.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid/remote environment and travel up to 10% internationally.
