Health and Safety Governance Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Health and Safety Governance Lead on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract based in Farringdon, London. The role will drive the implementation and continuous improvement of our health and safety governance framework across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the health and safety governance ecosystem, ensuring alignment from Board level to operational committees.
• Attend H&S Board and Executive Committee meetings, capture outcomes and support the Chief Safety Officer (CSO).
• Plan governance agendas, align them with organisational risk priorities and escalate key risks.
• Prepare performance papers, analyse health and safety data and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Coordinate delivery of the company’s health and safety strategic plan in partnership with senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health and safety governance or related senior advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of board‑level reporting and risk management processes.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and governance frameworks.
• Experience preparing performance reports and dashboards for executive audiences.
