Health and Social Care Lecturer (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role
Reed FE is seeking qualified Health and Social Care lecturers to join its network of colleges, prisons and training providers across South East England. The role can be undertaken on a full‑time or part‑time basis and is temporary, offering a competitive hourly rate.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess Health and Social Care curriculum for learners aged 16‑19 and apprentices.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide feedback, set assignments and monitor learner progress.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and DBS requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain high educational standards.
Required profile
- Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education.
- Assessors qualification (A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) – or willingness to obtain.
- Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑olds in an educational or apprenticeship setting.
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
