Health Safety Environmental Facilities Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities (HSEF) Manager to join a fast‑growing consumables supplier in Manchester. The role is responsible for ensuring legal compliance, promoting a safety culture, and overseeing the efficient operation of company facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and internal policies.
• Lead internal and external EHS audits and sustain ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.
• Provide expert advice as the appointed competent person on HSE matters to senior leadership.
• Manage facilities suppliers, service contracts, budget and business continuity planning.
• Investigate accidents and near‑misses, produce monthly H&S statistics and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with the sustainability team to achieve environmental objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health, safety, environmental and facilities management, preferably within a manufacturing or retail supply environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret incident data and liability claims.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering toolbox talks and advising senior teams.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
